We exist at the intersection of responsible consumption and design excellence, by providing customers with a connection to nature, sustainable raw materials, processes, and partnerships with local fine craftsmanship.

A little bit about our roots…

Waldbaden is the german word for “forest bathing”. 

Our Founder, Amelie Bahlsen, grew up in Germany and spent a lot of time in the mountains growing up. She learned early on that Waldbaden refers to the practice of immersing oneself in the forest environment, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest, and connecting with nature. This experience helps physical and mental well-being and leaves one happy and relaxed.

It turns out this practice of Waldbaden (aka Shinrin-yoku) is beloved all over the world and was developed in Japan in the early 1980s as a response to increasing urbanization and stress-related health issues but is practiced all over the world.

We hope to bring this well-being to you by sharing our own forest with you!
